  1. Good Morning! 
  2. Welcome to the SimTower Interactive Demo. 
  3. SimTower is an entertainment simulation which gives you 
  4. the power to build a high-rise skyscraper, and manage it 
  5. into a profitable commercial empire.

  8. Start SimTower by building a lobby for your base. 
  9. Lay down the lobby by clicking the mouse button
  10. on the ground floor. 
  11. The Lobby Button is already highlighted and looks like this:

  13. Expand the Lobby so you can start placing offices above it. 
  14. Click the mouse button and drag the Lobby to make it 
  15. wider.  Again, the Lobby Button looks like this:

  17. Once you build an office, people will start moving in.
  18. Click the Office Button.  Start at the left side above
  19. the Lobby, click the mouse and place a series of offices 
  20. across the top of the Lobby.  The Office Button looks like this:

  22. Your office will be empty until you install stairs so
  23. people can enter.  
  24. Click the Stairs Button (Stairs appear by clicking 
  25. and holding the Lobby Button). 
  26. Place the stairs between the 
  27. Lobby and Office floors.
  28.  
  29. Look! You should start to see offices open and close,
  30. people arrive and depart.  Soon you'll earn rental income
  31. and become a real landlord!  Now click the Office Button 
  32. and add more offices up to the 5th floor. 
  33. Again, the Office Button looks like this:

  35. Now install elevators for your tenants.
  36. Click the Elevator Button and place an 
  37. elevator by moving the elevator pointer to the bottom 
  38. right of the Lobby and clicking the mouse button.
  39. The Elevator Button looks like this:

  42. Now let your Finger do the walking.
  43. Click on the Finger Button, and move the Finger pointer 
  44. to the top section of the elevator, where the gears
  45. are whirling and there is a small upward-pointing arrow.  
  46. Hold down the mouse and drag the elevator up.

  48. Very Good!  Now let's put another car in the shaft.  As your
  49. tower and population grows, scheduling elevators will
  50. be more critical.
  51. Click on the Elevator Button and place it in 
  52. the existing shaft.  Again, the Elevator Button looks 
  53. like this:

  55. Your office workers now need a place to eat.
  56. Click the Fast Food Button and place a cafe underneath 
  57. the Lobby.  The Fast Food Button looks like this:

  59. Click on the Finger Button and drag the elevator down one
  60. floor.  This will allow your customers to get there.

  63. Click the Magnifying Glass Button and click on an 
  64. office.  Take a glimpse and see what your tenants think
  65. of you so far.  It's your duty to keep them happy or else
  66. they will leave.

  68. As your population grows so will your tower--up to 100 
  69. stories.  Along with this expansion, you will advance
  70. in Star Ratings which will let you put in hotels, 
  71. shops, restaurants, movie theaters, party halls, metro 
  72. stations and more.
